Grizzlies +3.5 over T-Wolves (3u)
Bonus play: Grizzlies +140 (2u)
The T-Wolves are the only undefeated team at 6-0 but they had a pretty easy road to the finals. That’s not to take anything aways from them, I backed them in every game and they are certainly a talented, deep squad with six players averaging double digits scoring but my issue with them is they are mostly rookies, they don’t have the veteran depth which is what is needed to win this league. The best team in this tournament is the Grizzlies. They have been just as impressive as the T-Wolves with the exception of one game against the Celtics where they just didn’t show up. They avenged that loss in the first round of the tournament with a double digit beat down of the Celtics who many thought had the most talent of anyone. Last game’s final score against the Pelicans is deceiving, they were up double digits heading into the 4th quarter. The Grizz have the perfect blend of of young talent and veterans which is what it takes to win this league. Brandon Clarke has been phenomenal, he was just named the MVP of the Summer League. The Grizz are loaded with veteran depth around him, the two standouts being Bruno Caboclo who was a first round draft pick and has been their second best player and guard Tyler Harvey, a 2015 second-round pick, who has looked like the Steph Curry of the Summer League, he is 45% from 3 and doesn’t miss when he has an open look. The Grizzlies really want to win this thing, they are the only Summer League team coached by their own NBA head coach and I love them to win outright, if not they will keep it very close.
